Hi, I’m Tyler Howard, and Sunday Kitchen Stories is where I write about home cooking the way it actually happens: a little messy, mostly improvised, and always with a story attached.
I’m not a trained chef. I’m someone who grew up with a kitchen full of people, learned to cook by watching and asking questions, and never really stopped. Sundays are when I slow down, put something in the oven for a few hours, and let the whole house smell like it. The rest of the week is weeknight dinners, whatever’s in the fridge, and figuring out how to make it taste like I tried.
This site covers the whole kitchen: Sunday roasts, fast weeknight dinners, baking and bread, sides and salads, something sweet when someone needs cheering up, pantry basics, honest opinions about kitchen gear, and cooking with the seasons. I test recipes in my own kitchen before I write about them, and when something doesn’t work, I say so.
Every post here is written by a real person, with a real story behind it. Pull up a stool. You can reach me at [email protected].
